What's Extrema Terra Expeditions?

Extrema Terra Expeditions offers experiences in some of the most inhospitable, wild, and fascinating landscapes on the planet. Operated by Microbiologist and Arctic Guide Beatriz Albiol, it serves as the umbrella for a set of divisions, each specialized in safety for a specific type of extreme environment.

CryoTerra Expeditions is the first active division of Extrema Terra. Based in the High Arctic, it focuses on the world of ice, as reflected in its Latin name, in the northernmost inhabited place on Earth, Svalbard Archipelago, at 78º N.

The Beginning

Extrema Terra was born from the drive of two scientists from Barcelona who once travelled to the Arctic… and decided to stay. What began as an adventure became a way of life: to explore, understand, and share the most extreme and awe-inspiring corners of the planet. Today, that vision shapes a bold company dedicated to crafting unique expeditions and experiences in the planet’s most inhospitable and challenging environments.
